I'll try to add my thoughts to Michael's post later (too busy Tweeting!) ... interesting that this post came the same morning as I received an email from a friend of a "Twitter buddy" ... his company is intersted in helping raise funds for Trees for Troops campaign ... which he learned via my Twitter posts. Ironic (to me) of the connections.

meanwhile, here's a copy of a recent piece in Wall Street Journal worth a quick read. The world of communications and networking is changing. http://ow.ly/ul6N

It's all about individual choices, I think, and it sounds like you made the right choice for you. I find there is a lot I can do with e-mail that I can't do with Twitter. Re: Dr. Westwell's study, I was more easily distracted when I was 18 than I am now. Not sure that has anything to do with Nintendo.

Re: The Dumbest Generation, I'll have to read the book. But it will have to be a borrowed copy, because I find the premise so offensive and ageist, I wouldn't want to contribute a dime to the publisher or the author.
